Customer geologists need precision in assessing the holes that are drilled for them. AFRASIA has a team of trained drill hole surveyors via both magnetic and non-magnetic tools. AFRASIA can survey while the hole is being drilled or survey after the hole is completed; AFRASIA can survey each wedge in a hole with multiple wedges or reverse circulation drill holes inside the drill pipe.


  • Management of full pit surveys or independent mine audits
  • Setting out of mine site development layout plans
  • Transformation of local grid systems into Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM)  co-ordinates
  • Surveying of audits and historical underground workings in order to establish a reliable exploration survey control and database  
  • Accurate topographic surveys for local digital terrain models (DTM).

  • Audit of historical survey data and rectify to the client’s preferred co-ordinate system.
  • Dispute resolution to license boundary positions concerning mining contracts
  • Recording of base station GPS information for LIDAR INS (remote sensing technology that measures distance) or airborne gravity surveys.
